You won't notice the sound. You'll just hear every word.
Alexandria Sound Co. is a boutique A/V company providing professional audio solutions for a variety of events across Minnesota's lake country — high quality, professional sound so clean you forget to notice it.
A sound engineer, not a DJ
We run the audio, not the show. You bring the playlist — your own queue, your band, your officiant — and we make sure it actually reaches the back row without feedback, dead spots, or wind eating the vows.
We customize personalized audio equipment configurations that will maximize the sound experience for your audience.
Lapel and handheld mics for officiants, speeches, and toasts — no cables across the aisle.
Weather-aware setups for garden ceremonies and tented receptions, not just banquet halls.
We run your own playlist through a proper system — no canned DJ set, just your music done clean.
Sound for the moments that need to carry
Weddings & Ceremonies
Vows that reach the back row, wireless mics for the officiant and toasts, and a system tuned for clarity. Built for garden and outdoor settings.
Corporate & Business Events
Presentations, panels, and meetings with audio that just works — lapel mics, clear playback, and a technician who arrives early, sets up quickly, and stays out of the way.
Private Events & Celebrations
Anniversaries, graduations, and receptions that need real sound reinforcement without turning into a nightclub. Professionalism you can rely on.
One signal chain, start to finish
Sound check
We arrive early, setup quickly, and run levels before a single guest shows up.
The event
An engineer stays at the board the entire time — riding levels, catching wind noise, handling transitions between speech and music.
Load-out
Everything's packed and gone within the hour. A mobile rig built with the organizer and venue in mind.
Touring-grade equipment
At Alexandria Sound Co. we prioritize quality and reliability, which is reflected in the equipment we use. Yamaha & A&H digital consoles, powered JBL PA speakers, & Shure ULX Professional Wireless Microphone Systems — the same class of gear used for concerts and conferences, scaled down for a ceremony or a boardroom.
Based in Alexandria, at home on the lakes
Alexandria Sound Co. is based in Alexandria, Minnesota, and serves venues and event spaces throughout Douglas County and the surrounding lakes region — including the outdoor venues that punish bad audio the most. Happy to travel farther for the right event.
